Sustainability

We define sustainability as the conscientious use of resources and making sure they can be renewed naturally. Because this is so important to us, we take sustainability aspects into account throughout our range of services. We distinguish between economic, ecological and socio-cultural sustainability and follow the principle of global sustainability.

Economic sustainability

Economic sustainability means maximizing economic return while maintaining equilibrium in the resources being used. At our company, economic sustainability serves as the basis for ecological and social sustainability. Only companies that pursue long-term goals, rely on the efficient processes and focus on the best possible use of resources will be able to run a successful business long term while generating an optimum risk/return profile.

Environmental sustainability

Environmental sustainability means being conscientious and far-sighted when it comes to using natural resources. Environmental sustainability also means using natural resources carefully and with consideration and the awareness that neglecting to do so can further the ongoing depletion and exploitation of our natural resources. When it comes to internal policies at our company, we are particularly concerned with how waste separation is handled and in practicing efficient, minimal energy consumption through the use of low-energy lighting and state-of-the-art technology. At VERIUS, we also highly value sustainable transportation and encourage our employees to carpool, use public transportation or take their bicycles to work.
