Charity

Socially committed

VERIUS is proud to regularly support a number of charities that are engaged in nature conservation and humanity efforts. We thoroughly research each organization before getting involved.

Rainforests

Wilderness International

Wilderness International buys wilderness areas and enters them into the land registry to protect them for future generations. Thanks to the support of VERIUS, the organization has been able to preserve a unique habitat for important animal and plant species. VERIUS is also contributing significantly to climate protection through its donations. By purchasing large tracts of forest, abundant CO2 can be stored in the Canadian territory.

To the project

Lebenswald

The donations from VERIUS will be used for extensive reforestation in the Mawas area of Borneo. The regular planting of trees stores carbon dioxide dangerous greenhouse gases in the peat swamp rainforest. Through its charitable support, VERIUS is making contribution to the conservation of rainforests and their creatures.

7,140 sqm of rainforest (the equivalent of 36 soccer fields) disappear every minute, which is why VERIUS decided to become engaged in rainforest preservation. These statistics have motivated VERIUS to annually support the three organizations, “Lebenswald”, “Wilderness International” and “ForestFinance”, which work to protect the natural habitat of the animals and plant species that live in the rainforests, most of which are threatened by extinction.

ForestFinance

With more than 25 years of experience, ForestFinance has a long track record in forest and climate protection in Germany and in the tropics. More than 23,000 people have already invested with the aim of combining return and positive impact through sustainable investments.

The "Los Monos" protection forest is located in the heart of Panama. It is a living rainforest of around 100 hectares in the province of Chiriquí. The protection forest not only provides a home for capuchin monkeys, mangrove trees and numerous parrot species, it is also our most important climate protector. With our reforestation we offer an important contribution to climate protection and thus bind of carbon dioxide.

Eden Project Kenya

Kenya is one of the poorest countries in the world and suffers from increasing extreme natural disasters. This is also since by now almost 90 % of the forest cover has been cleared and the areas are illegally occupied.

The Eden organisation is committed to reforestation and the restoration of natural habitats for flora and fauna in harmony with profound development aid for the people in the region.

VERIUS supports Eden in the implementation of this - for all of us earthlings important - task.

Every strong tree was once a small plant and every deed begins with a small good thought.

HOPE Cape Town

VERIUS has been supporting the HOPE Cape Town foundation since 2017. The foundation provides aid to South African children and families affected by HIV and who are confronted with the social challenges and living conditions this entails. HOPE Cape Town is led by Mr. Stefan Hippler, who received the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2021 for his extraordinary commitment of more than 20 years to the poor areas of Cape Town.

LAUREUS Sport

VERIUS supported the project led by LAUREUS Ambassador, Jan Frodeno, to combat the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in one of Europe’s worst affected regions in Spain. The Olympic gold medalist and three-time winner of the Ironman Triathlon World Championship completed the Ironman at home. With this project, Jan Frodeno collected donations for the LAUREUS Sport Foundation and for healthcare facilities in Girona, Spain.
